PhD Scholarship in Remote Sensing-Geomatics

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Castelldefels (Barcelona).

Four distinct research units are working in CTTC. In this post, our focus is Geomatics Division.  PhD positions are available with focus on Radar Remote Sensing.

The Geomatics Division of the CTTC is searching for candidates interested in a PhD position in its Remote Sensing Department. The PhD work will be related to an ongoing research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness: DEMOS, “Deformation monitoring using Sentinel-1 data” (Ref: CGL2017-83704-P).

Research Topic & Scholarship:

The project will focus on two main research lines based on interferometric SAR data: deformation monitoring and water vapour mapping. CONDITIONS The duration of the scholarship will be 3 years.

Duration:

The indicative period is from January 2019 to December 2021. The scholarship will be provided by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), through the “Ayudas para contratos predoctorales para la formación de doctores”.
